Firm Overview

Barry A. Clark has practiced trial law since 1987 and is based in Manhattan, Kansas. Mr. Clark is a former State court prosecutor, but now limits his practice to criminal defense and plaintiff’s personal injury. Mr. Clark has tried more that fifty jury trials to verdict, has represented thousands of clients from all walks of life, and enjoys a reputation for providing competent, thorough and aggressive trial services for his clients.

Mr. Clark represents individuals charged with crimes in both State and Federal Courts. He has extensive experience in handling high level felony crimes including drug related offenses, sex crimes and homicides. Mr. Clark is also highly competent in the defense of misdemeanor crimes including driving while intoxicated.

For more than fifteen years, Mr. Clark has engaged in plaintiff’s personal injury work. Like all cases, Mr. Clark believes these cases demand thorough investigation, diligence and aggressiveness to secure the highest awards possible. Insurance companies must understand that plaintiff’s counsel is highly motivated and prepared to try the case, not just quickly settle.

Jeremiah L. Platt moved to Manhattan, Kansas in 1995 to attend Kansas State University, and has resided in the area since that time. Mr. Platt has practiced criminal defense law since 2006. Mr. Platt is a zealous advocate for those charged with DUI, misdemeanor, felony and traffic matters.

Mr. Platt begins preparing every case with the idea that it will eventually end in a trial. However, through meticulous discovery and pre-trial motion work, Mr. Platt works to achieve the most advantageous outcome possible for his clients. Mr. Platt has represented clients in municipal, State and Federal courts throughout northeast Kansas. Mr. Platt has an obvious passion for representing the rights of those accused of crimes.

Mr. Platt believes that everyone is entitled to the very best defense, and strives to provide thorough, competent and quality representation to each and every client.

Michael P. Hinkin recently returned to his hometown of Manhattan, Kansas to pursue his legal career with Clark & Platt, Chtd. He has been an active member in both the Manhattan and K-State communities for 15 years. Mr. Hinkin strongly believes that every client deserves zealous representation, no matter the case.

During Mr. Hinkin’s legal career, he has primarily worked on DUI, misdemeanor, and traffic cases. He also has experience in the areas of plaintiff’s personal injury and domestic relations cases, including protection from stalking and protection from abuse.

Mr. Hinkin has devoted his practice to providing competent, aggressive trial services and counsel to clients throughout Northeast Kansas. He consistently provides accessible and personalized guidance throughout legal proceedings, in an effort to help each client find resolutions they need to move forward with their lives.
