Cole joins us with extensive experience and a remarkable history of success. Known for his tenacity and dedication, Cole has represented clients across a spectrum of criminal defense cases, achieving numerous favorable verdicts and exemplifying the highest standards of legal excellence. A graduate of Kansas State University and the University of Kansas Law School, Cole is an active member of the Riley County Bar Association and the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, where he was honored with the prestigious Clarence Darrow Award in 2023. His career began at the Kiley Law Firm in Overland Park, KS, followed by a distinguished tenure at the Kansas North Central Regional Public Defender’s Office in Junction City, KS. Rising to the role of Chief Public Defender in 2015, Cole has successfully defended clients in high-profile cases involving Jessica’s Law, serious felonies, and complex jury trials, securing acquittals in some of the most challenging cases.

Cole’s practice at Clark & Platt will focus on criminal defense and personal injury plaintiff work, areas where he continues to display his unwavering dedication to clients.
